Foil it’s! A new obsession

Image
I’ve done some foiling with my laminator before and been pretty successful. Especially after I learned to turn it on a good 20-30 min before I needed it so it could warm up and began using the thermoweb carrier sheets. Pink & main did a foiling class during Crop & Create and I ended up breaking my laminator, so with the discount code, it was a great time to invest in a mini minc! I also loved the Taylored expressions Cake Walk layered stencils and dies from the event and when they showed foil its to match I was sold! I ordered a lot of them. So when I received my new minc and the foil its from Taylored Expressions, off I went to foil! Wow, it works so much better than a laminator. Then I went a bit crazy making all these cards! Each stencil has the components for 3 cards, so I must have foiled 6 panels and stenciled. These are absolutely gorgeous in person. I mixed up the backgrounds a bit. Some are embossing folders with gold or silver pigment ink on top, some are embossi...

Another great Crop & Create Delivered!

I absolutely love SCT’s Crop & Create Delivered. It’s such a huge box of supplies for the price, and we get to experience so many different companies and teachers. Every time there are supplies or styles I don’t think are my thing, but I do the class and love it! This time it was 4 full days, 4 2hour classes each day. I didn’t complete them all during the weekend as it was just too much all at once, but I loved what I completed! These are just a few of the cards I created. #cropandcreatedelivered Taylored Expressions Spellbinders Spellbinders Simon Hurley Simon Hurley Simon Hurley Pink & Main Pink & Main Pink & Main Spellbinders Lawn Fawn Lawn Fawn Lawn Fawn Brutus Monroe Brutus Monroe Brutus Monroe Gina K Gina K Gina K

Taylored Expressions Poppy fields layering stencil cards

This layering stencil was a free gift with purchase from Taylored Expressions a few months ago. It made some beautiful cards!  I used Concord & 9th inks, Gina K dies, and a new stamp set for fall 2023 crop & create delivered from Gina K for the stamped sentiments.

Comcord & 9th Blooms for you

I fell in love with this set when I saw the sneak peek of it from concord &9th. But it wasn’t until I saw it demonstrated I saw how easy it was to make a card with it! They really design their products so well to make it easy for us to create quickly with stunning results. I made these 8 cards in just a few hours, which is pretty quick for me. I was inspired but the 49th&market new fall line to choose my ink colors. I’m ready for fall, and with these colors and the brown thank and pearls, it gives the cards a bit of a fall feel without being over the top. I hope you like them!

SCT Crop & Create delivered

My first cardmaking event was last year, September 2022 and it blew me away and I have not missed one since. The next one is coming up at the end of September so I thought I better wrap up the bonus classes from last year! These were over and above what I thought I was signing up for so I haven’t really had a chance to finish them. I learned some fun techniques from these extra classes and I can’t wait til the next one.

I was inspired by a Jennifer McGuire video to make these cards.  https://www.jennifermcguireink.com/2023/07/must-try-4-for-1-card-technique-a-favorite-free-gift.html  I used an altenew stencil and Gina K dies, stamps, and embossing folders. Using the layered stencils this way gives such a different look than making just one card front at a time. I had a few Pinkfresh studio foiled butterflies leftover from another project I added for accents.
